
Waterfront: This is the heart of Stockholm, the major city of Sweden. The blue and yellow flag is the country’s flag. Shipbuilding was indeed a major industry that supported Sweden.

Street Art: Near the bustling center by the Nobel Prize Museum, you can see all sorts of great street art for sale and places to have a “fika,” which basically means “coffee break.” Art is encouraged from a very young age, including theatre arts; the government does a lot to invest in youth talent.

Stadsbiblioteket: This is worth a stop if anyone is visiting Stockholm. The name sounds a bit similar to “biblioteca,” which is Spanish for “library.” The rotunda was a great sight, and it was indeed nice to stumble upon a book on King Charles the IV.
Sweden is a great country that is a part of Scandinavia in Northern Europe, and it indeed encompasses a great history in inventions, visual and musical arts, architecture and other aspects. It has a great relationship Denmark and Norway, along with Finland and Iceland. If you stop by the iconic waterfront, city center and library, you will encounter lots of great history. When the weather was bad and cloudy, the people had a lot of time to think of great inventions, such as the pacemaker. Art has also been encouraged throughout the history, with lots of their marble coming from Norway to build their opera house.

Ligonberry Cocktail: These red berries are popular in many kinds of drinks, especially in warm weather

Ligonberry Tree: This tree has lingonberries, which are famous in Sweden and also Finland. One can find vendors selling them on the street.

Popular Foods: The locals indeed enjoy their share of gravy. potatoes, fish, bread and cheese. This is in addition to the obvious Swedish meatballs, which are not pictured here.
Besides nice architecture and history, people can enjoy great cuisine and berries. Lingonberries are great to use for various dishes, such as baked goods. One can of course enjoy lingonberry juice, infused water and cocktails with this flavor. If one decides to stop for a “fika,” then one could enjoy delicious wine and appetizers. Berry picking and picnicking are great activities if you are in Sweden when the weather is warm.

Viking Clothes: The Vikings were a major part of Swedish history, and one distinguishable factor was their clothing. Hemp was one of the fabrics worn back then from about 800 CE and 1066. Many people were judged based on their necklaces and the value of what they wore.

Silver Viking Helmets: In movies, people can often see the Vikings wearing horns on their helmets, but that was not the case in history. Please do not believe Hollywood depictions.

Viking Goods: People can find some great merchandise at the Viking Museum in Stockholm, and of course blue and yellow are the colors to sport. One can even wear a hat with Viking horns!
